It is already one week into the New Year and I am sure like me, you have been pleasantly inundated with animated status updates and posts wishing you a Happy New Year and how to achieve your goals for 2012.

My blog post today isn’t about goals or even New Year resolutions but to simply ask you what your ONE keyword for achievement is for this year?! And what ONE self-development book/audio book will you be be taking your learning from in 2012?

 Having one key word simplifies things and helps one to focus. A book, or even book audio, gives you something to anchor your year against.  When thinking about your word and book consider where you were last year and what your expectations were at that time? On reviewing this, what would you say were your main achievements then, and if anything, what would you change and why?

This time last year I was working on my website – Butterfly Wealth Creation – and getting ready to go on a life changing and enhancing cruise with the Global Information Network! See the video below!

It was awesome! And it really DID change my life!

This year I am working on my website again – an ongoing process as it is a reflection of my developing and best self – and I am preparing for my event on Gold, Saturday 21st January  – http://bit.ly/Gold2012

Last year I officially started my speaking career and during the course of the year I had the opportunity to run my own wealth creation event called Infinitely Wealthy Women with my business partner on that project, Elena Theodorou of Passion meets Profits. We had speakers at the event who I had been following for a while and whom I hold in high esteem! It was a great event, with amazing feedback but a totally unexpected and unplanned achievement. There were also many teachable moments to move forward with, which we will be doing for our next event on March 3rd and 4thof this year.

So my word for 2012 is PROGRESS. It is no longer about perfection but progress! And I plan to progress to new levels of success and achievements in 2012! To make this happen I have -

  • Begun a 9 month training programme with Dr Joanna Martin called ‘The feminine Way to Wealth’, to create my business using my ‘feminine flow’ rather than the masculine! Awesome training!
  • Booked my place on Sohail Khan – The JV Broker’ business growth Mastermind! I already had a strategy session with him and it was really good! Remember ‘we don’t know what we don’t know!’
  • Acquired an awesome Book Coach, Mr Warren Whitlock, to get that goal and life-long dream accomplished this year- excited!!
  • And finally, I am consulting with the dynamic and very knowledgeable funding and business exit specialist –Mr Dave Lavinsky, who is helping me to bring focus to the direction I want to take my business ultimately. So another good one!

Cool beans aye?! And as the saying goes ‘learning is earning’!

So, what is your one word, and why that word?  As well as what actions will you be taking to implement that word into action? Please do share below! By doing so you may inspire someone in a way you (or I) never expected!

Finally, and as mentioned, what key self development book will you be learning from throughout 2012? Last year for me it was the GINtastic audio book ‘Your Wish is Your Command’ by the GIN council; this year it will be the awesome and profound book ‘The Four Agreements’ by Don Miguel Ruiz.

The Four Agreements was introduced to me by a friend and wonderful business woman, Yvonne Witter, and it simply captured my imagination! It

is just great and really resonates with me and where I am at, at this present moment in time! It reminds me of the superb allegorical novel ‘The Alchemist’ by Paulo Coelhohe, in its tone and imagery; however The Four Agreements is a work of non-fiction rather than fiction.

So what are the four agreements? They are -

  1. Be impeccable with your words. (Do you know what impeccable means? Thought provoking when you do!)
  2. Don’t take anything personally
  3. Don’t make assumptions
  4. Always do your best

Great aren’t they?! And so simple!
