It is becoming a well known fact that due to the economic global downturn, the UK – and other parts of the world – is moving from an employee-centric society to an entrepreneurial one; as reflected quite aptly in the new Series of The Apprentice, in which the contesting individuals vie for the auspicious place of working WITH Sir Alan Sugar rather than FOR him.

This week sees the third instalment of this year’s The Apprentice, and unlike previous years, I am riveted. Why? Because the concept of this series is completely different from the previous years, in the fact that it’s premise has changed from ‘working FOR Sir Alan Sugar’ to ‘working WITH Sir Alan Sugar’. Yesterday was the day of the ‘employee’ whereas today, and the future, is the dawning of the new Entrepreneurial Age.

It’s a New Year which dictates that something ‘new’ should be started; be it a new set of resolutions, a job, or even a new attitude! So what exactly am do I mean when I write ‘Let’s Get It Started…in 5 Steps?’ Well, your dreams, goals and desires, of course! We all have them, even if some us don’t believe in them or don’t think it is possible to actually make them, or at least an element of them, a reality!
Napoleon Hill, one of the greatest self –development pioneers of the 20th Century, wrote “Cherish your visions and you dreams, as they are the children of your soul; the blueprints of your ultimate achievements”.
